Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Pipal (“Pipal”, “we”, “us”) including our website at pipal.me, our desktop application, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Pipal provides a 3D AI companion desktop application and a marketplace where you can browse, obtain, and (for creators) publish characters. Features may change over time as the product evolves.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Subscriptions, credits, and billing
- Paid plans and credit top-ups are billed through our payment provider (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period.
- Credits and plan budgets are consumed as you use AI features. Consumption is metered against your plan.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.
4. Creator terms
If you publish characters as a creator, you represent that you own or have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights. You grant Pipal a license to host, display, and distribute your content through the Service so users can preview and use it. Revenue share, payout terms, and content standards are described in the Creator Agreement and your creator dashboard, and form part of these Terms for creators.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, harassing, or that violates others’ rights.
- Generate or distribute content that is unlawful, abusive, or sexually exploits minors.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to circumvent usage limits, security, or billing.
- Upload content you do not have the rights to, or misrepresent the source of a character or model.
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you create or upload. Pipal and its underlying software, branding, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. 3D models and characters obtained through the Service are licensed, not sold, and are subject to the license terms shown for each item. You may not redistribute or create unauthorized derivatives.
7. AI-generated content
AI responses, voice, and animations are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. They are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for how you use AI output. Do not rely on it for decisions that require a qualified professional.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (for example, AI, payment, and hosting providers). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pipal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Florida, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
